On New Years day 2012 Philly Pressbox posted our first article at We had no idea what to expect or if anyone would have enough interest in our passion, Philly Sports, to bother to read and/or comment on what we had to say. We had no idea what Facebook was, or what Twitter was, so we had to recruit the boys to move us in to the social media world.

One year later we have 306 posts, with 12,705 views on WordPress alone, and have been viewed in an amazing 74 countries!!! Our daily inspirational Word of the Day has become very popular, as has our Phillies individual player profiles. These are used for fan references every day We’ve written about the Paterno Legacy and the Freeh Report, Penn State All Time All American teams, Wilt Chamberlain, Steve Van Buren, stadiums we’ve visited, Philly Broadcast Legends, our All Time Greatest QB analysis, our favorite all time Eagles and Phillies, our meeting with Pete Rose and the Wing Bowl, as well as the normal Philly sports teams coverage. You can click on the “ARCHIVES” button and check out all of the posts.

At the bottom of each page is a “FOLLOW” button, feel free to click on it and get our posts directly to your email.

We would like to thank everyone who took the time to be part of our first year. Obviously, we couldn’t have done it without you. We would like to give a special thanks to,, Dave Capper, Kevin McClure, Bob Sullivan, Mary Ann Cresta, Don Trevelino, Terrence Howse, Christopher Leomporra, Billy Furman, Mike Furman, Chris Furman and, of course, Mary Furman for all of their support.
