I did something with that Philadelphia Eagles that no other Eagle has been able to duplicate in over a half century. Although I’m not in the Eagles Hall of Fame, or ever really spoken of as an Eagles hero, I am a member of the College Football Hall of Fame where I was an All American under the legendary Knute Rockne at Notre Dame. Apparently others have thought highly of me because they named a stadium after me. Do you know who I am and what I accomplished with the Eagles?

The correct answer is Lawrence “Buck” Shaw the head coach of the 1960 Eagles. Shaw was an All American on the 1919 Notre Dame team that was the first Knute Rockne undeafeated team. Shaw was inducted in to the College Football Hall of Fame in 1972. The stadium at Santa Clara University is called Buck Shaw Stadium. By the way, the last game Shaw ever coached was the 1960 championship victory over Vince Lombardi and the Green Bay Packers.
